Dear Kind Hearts,

 

I reach out to you with a humble request for help. My name is Mohammed Swidan, a father from Gaza City, and I am here to share our story and ask for your support in the face of unimaginable hardship. 

 

On October 9, 2023, my family and I faced relentless shelling and, though we miraculously survived, we were forced to flee our home and all we knew. I am a father to three daughters, Misk (15), Basmah (13), and little Masa (3), and my beloved wife. They are my world, and every day I work to protect and support them as we struggle through displacement, loss, and heartache.

A Special Plea for Misk

My eldest daughter, Misk, faces the additional challenge of hearing loss, a condition that has worsened in recent months. Her hearing aids, which are essential to her daily life, are now broken. Amid the trauma of the conflict, her condition has further deteriorated, and we are in desperate need of help to restore her ability to hear, which brings her courage and confidence.
